The Calm
Clerics, clerics everywhere and not a drop to drink. I really need to get my tequila back from Anwar. So we touched down into the middle of the old city and changed back into people. MacLeane's place was now a blackened crater. We looked around but we didn't see a body. Though considering the amount of damage done, if MacLeane had been there, he'd have been broken down into his basic elements. But we know how wily that guy is. Figured he'd get out somehow.

So we split up to see if he was with the clerics for a little healing. So New, well, I don't know if I can really keep calling him that. He's not exactly new anymore. I gotta think of something else. Nyran, Elana, and I went to the temple to look for MacLeane. Nyran asked this old guy if MacLeane was around and he directed us to the room he in. MacLeane was pretty messed up. I mean he looked awful. Elana had decided to stay outside and work her magic among the people there. I didn't agree with that decision, but it isn't my magic to waste either. I figured Lanathar would be back at any minute to rain down more fire. He didn't, so that was good, but Elana expended all her powers so consequently she couldn't heal up MacLeane. I don't know why they don't listen to me more often. I mean, Nyran and I can't do that type of healing. But at least he was sleeping and not knocked out.

The interesting thing was that apparently his sister or daughter, some woman brought him. His sister? Suurrre. There's only one woman who may have brought him and they don't exactly look alike. Threnody's reasons confuse me. Why didn't she just off him? Or leave him there to die? We know she doesn't like any of us. So why should she get MacLeane to safety? If she were normal people, I'd say that she saw a hurt person and felt compelled to help. But considering it's Threnody and she's an evil hobag, it's probably a trick. Like she put something in him and she's gonna blow us all up. Or he's bait for some devious scheme. It certainly can't be because he was taking care of her and she cared for him as well out of the goodness of her lump of coal, er, heart.

We got new toys! Since we're back to civilization, we decided to take advantage and finally really look at the stuff we collected. We also needed pearls and wine so Islan could look really close. And I'm the lush. These wisards need strong drink to work their magic? Lucky stiffs. So I now have a cloke like Islan's. I look blurry. And my new armor can look any way I want it to. So first thing I did after I found that out, was to make it look like the dress I wore in the mirror. It's kinda cool. I don't think Islan was too thrilled with my choice of attire though. He'll just have to get used to it. The best thing, though, is the sword. The Garanlyon sword. When I get sneaky I can really stick it to the bad guy. Ha ha. A half elf carrying a sword like that. I'm so tickled by this concept. Hopefully Lanathar will see that and just choke on his own bile. Mmmm. Happy thoughts.
