Cyaegha The Unbidden
Darkness, my name is
Background
Cyaegha is one of the dreaded Prisoners Of Thule, coming into being as an affront to all that exists. Dwelling in a larg cavern at the Peak of the mountain Dunkehugel (Dark Hill), this horror is guarded by five powerful entities known as the Vaeyen. Once these five are released, thye travel unerringly to their master and free it.

Cyaegha can be described as little more than a formless mountain of flesh and tentacles topped by several stalks ending in bloodshot, whirling eyes that blast rays of utter death and despair at any in its range.

Cyaegha was defeated in 3029 AA by a joint effort between heroes from the Gideon Mercenary Corps and the Fellowship Of The Crystal Tear. Both parties separated and went their own ways to attempt to discover a means to put the Prisoners away for good.

Combat Tactics
Cyaegha attacks each round with its tentacles and bites against as many opponents as it can reach. It will usually hold at least five of its eye rays in reserve for reactive spell turning and reactive spell immunity. Opponents that draw close enough to strike Cyaegha are subject to a karmic strike, are grappled and torn, then thrown at any opponents within range the next round.

Ability Descriptions
Constrict: If Cyaegha establishes a grapple, it can choose to hold and constrict its target for 1d6 + 13 points of damage. If it does this, it cannot rake or rend.

Eye Rays: As Overseer monster entry (Lords of Madness, p. 140). Each eye can produce a ray once per round as a free action (except for the Major Creation eye ray). Up to 5 rays can be directed in any single 90-degree arc. It typically leaves the option to use its reactive spell turning ray and spell immunity ray as needed. Each ray has a range of 180 ft., a save DC of 41, and a caster level of 20. All DCs are CHA-based.

Improved Grab: To use this ability, Cyaegha must hit with a Tentacle attack. It can then start a grapple as a free action with no attack of opportunity. If it wins, it establishes a hold and can constrict, or rake and rend. Creatures grappled can be flung on its next turn using the Fling Enemy feat.

Multi-Grab, Greater Multi-Grab: These feats eliminate all grapple penalties that Cyaegha takes for any grapple actions.

Fling Enemy: Any enemy at least two size categories smaller than Cyaegha that it grapples can be flung on its next turn. The range increment for thrown creatures is 120 ft. If an opponent is flunt at another creature, Cyaegha must make an attack roll (+31) and both creatures take damage per standard falling rules (1d6 per 10 ft.).

Frightful Presence: Cyaegha's constant gibbering, howling, and roaring inspires terror in all creatures within 20 ft. that have fewer HD than it has. Each victim must make a Will save (DC 43) or become shaken (-2 to most actions). A successful save leaves the opponent immune to Cyaegha's Frightful Presence for 24 hours.

Pain Mastery: Cyaegha gains a +2 bonus to STR for every 50 points of damage it takes.

Mage Slayer: Spell casters in Cyaegha's threatened area cannot cast defensively. They are aware of this limitation.

Karmic Strike: In exchange for taking a -4 penalty to its AC on its next turn, Cyaegha can make an attack of opportunity against any opponent that hits in melee.
