Bandits, Ale, And A Crazy Gnome
This has to be the most unlikely group of adventurers ever.
Lately there hasn't been a whole lot of exploring opportunities, and working with the stone masons can get rather dull. My brother, Groehl, came looking for me with the biggest grin I've seen on him since the day he joined the hold order. Apparently he had been given a mission to seek out some bandits that have been harrassin the trade route between Topholme and Barga. He convinced me that there was nothing worth hanging around for at the moment and I might be able to turn a few coins traveling with him. I also think he wanted the help of someone a little more experienced with the type of characters he would be dealing with. Oh well, I had nothing better to do and I'm always willing to help my brother out...alright the possiblity of a money was a good point to.

We made our way to Topholme and not finding much there decided to walk the route towards Barga. We didn's see a thing. Perhaps the bandits were keeping out of site for a bit, or it could have been Groehl's yelling for them to show themselves. Anyways we arrived in Barga without any progress and decided to get a drink in the Frosty Mug. Interesting place, they have these mugs that always stay cold.

While there I managed to overhear a couple of gnomes at the bar. One looked as if he hadnt bathed in...well ever, and the other was extremely depressed. The dressed gnome apparently lost an entire shipment of goods, including his daughter, to bandits. It sounded like a promising lead. The other gnome was apparently trying to cheer him up but with little success. I told Groehl what I heard and he decided to go a have a chat with the gnome. I was content to wait and enjoy the rest of my ale. When Groehl came back the energetic dirty gnome came with him. He introduced himself, stating his full and rather long name, but for short he said his name was Gim. The conversation was a little loud and we were approached by a dwarf named Lochlan, a dragon shaman. He offered to help us in our search for the bandits, for a fee. Groehl agreed and I agree with the decision. Lochlan is one of the biggest dwarves I have ever seen.

Gim continued his babbling and drew the attention of another traveler, a human. He said his was Eoin Fitzpatrick, a swashbuckler. He carried a rapier, a tricky weapon to use but quite deadly in the hands of someone who knows how to use it. Groehl, in a stroke of genius that suprised me, stated that if Eoin wanted to join us and share in whatever profit we find he had to pay a fee, ten silver which happened to be what Lochlan was charging. I got a laugh out of that.

Well as we continued to talk some of the others were noticed a large traveler approaching us. I must have been to absorbed in my ale, I didnt notice him till he was almost upon us. A hobgoblin. He questioned us if we were after two stolen objects. Now this was interesting. He told us that thieves stole two dangerous objects from his master and he was here to retrieve them. Unforetunately I couldn't get anything out of him, this Gorgoth was true to his kinds nature, fiercely loyal to their employer. He made it quite clear he was prepared to do anything to retrieve these objects, make me wonder what they might be worth. I wonder who his master is. Hmmm food for thought. Well once our big orange friend left we tried to find out more from the crowd at he bar but I had no luck. I went to bed leaving Groehl to canvas the patrons.

Next morning I find out that Groehl had met a gnome that had been attacked by goblins. This happened out be the old Haversack Mine. Well so far we didnt know if the bandits were dwarf, human, goblin, or a bunch of bloody faeries so it sounded to be our best bet. Well here we go, there dwarves, an interesting gnome, and a human fencer. This has to be the oddest group of adventurers ever.
