A Bit Of A Rest
What have gotten our selves into now.
Well next morning I shared the message on the scroll to my companions. They were as concerned as I was...well maybe not Gim. We needed to fing out exactly what we have gotten ourselves into here. We set out for Barga and I thought things looked they would be easy going till we reached the town, but its thoughts like that which bring bad luck.

We made it about half way when the last person I wanted to see showed up. Gorgoth and two gnolls jumped us. Well to make a long story short we tried to reason with him but there was no luch there being he wanted us to surrender the gnome girl and we werent about to do that. Well we fought it out, and of course Gorgoth and his two little friends didnt make it. And finally we found some profit in this little excursion. Between the three of em they were carrying a nice bit of coin and valueables. We let Eoin take Gorgoth's bow and sword, but we had to bind the swords gaurd to hing the markings. Turns out Gorgoth was a Captain from the Valley of the Eye. Just great we have now killed two prized drakes of Lord Eturgal and one of his captains, a favored one too by the looks of his equipment. We just keep getting in deeper and deeper in what ever this is and I dont think we are gonna get out of it till we figure out exactly what is going on.

Well Esmerelda, the gnome girl, turns out to be a sorcerous and thats why the hobgoblin wanted her. Great! What next? Well after looting and concealing the bodies, I had to convince our knight friend that this was a strategic move rather than a cowardly one, we continued on to Barga where we returned Esmerelda to her father Gnorman. We had a nice little chat with him about all this and we offered to send her off to an academy where she could learn magic and be safe but Gnorman wouldn't here of use spending our money on this. Gnormand insisted we travel to Westnell to speak with one Brunswick Deboer, a drawf representative of his trading company associates.

We agreed, a little trip like this may just be the rest and time we need to decide what to do next.

Westnell is a quiet little place. Not much happening that I first saw. Well we met Brunswick and he offered his services of as a weapon and armor dealer and we were able to use the forge to remake some of our lost armor, well everyelse's lost armor. To be honest we didnt learn very much about anything by coming to Westnell except Esmerelda is now to be sent of to apprentice to one of Brunswick's relatives, his brother or cousin or someone. We have been here too long with little progress and I started to get bored. A couple weeks later, we were walking through the street and we over heard Gnorman having an rather loud arguement with a crothety old gnome.

Geing able to speal gnome I could understand it well. This old gnome was blaming our presence for the theft of his "prized" pumpkings. What the hell would I do with a pumpkin? Well Gim and I went over and tried to talk to the gnome but he brushed us off and stomped away. Being that we were getting credit for this disturbance we decided to check it out. I really didnt care who stole the pumpkins I was just getting bored and thought this might livin things up a bit. So here we are camped just in the trees a short distance from the old gnome's pumpkin patch. I've drawn second watch and here I sit....
