Chapter One, Page Two
The second page revealed to Darenthil intact script, and he joyfully began the story again.

Sir Eoin led the party into the mines, a bright torch in one hand, his silver sword in the other. They found goblins in a small room, for it seemed the cave was their home, and after a short yet ferocious fight the monsters where subdued.
After leaving the room the party walked into a hallway so dark that even the light from his torch offered Sir Eoin no aid. One of the party, Rorrin, a Dwarf rouge, went ahead of the party only to find himself face to face with a large insecticide creature. With a cry for help the dwarf ran to the rear of the party, and the monstrosity rushed after him.
While the rest of the party was petrified at the beast Sir Eoin bravely stepped forward eager for battle. The Cleric dwarf joined him and the two fighters began to engage in single combat with the animal.
Sir Eoin stabbed his sword deeply into the insect and twisted his blade. The creature reacted in pain as the knight slid his sword out and brought it up for another strike. It was at that moment the knight realized that his sword was a lot lighter than it just had been. Looking back in horror Eoin saw that his sword had been reduced to the wooden handle, the steel having completed melted.
What was a battle, now had turned into a nightmare. The insect began to swing its head wildly and eat the armor of Sir Eoin and Groehl with just a light touching of its acidic antennae.
With great valor Sir Eoin beat up on the beast with a borrowed quarter staff, meanwhile Groehl fled to the rear of the column afraid for his life.

Here the writing was interrupted again, but resumed two pages later.

”Fight me, you orange colored bastard!” Sir Eoin challenged the Hobgoblin. Foolishly the fiend ignored Sir Eoins challenge and focused on Lochlan the dragon shaman.
Rorrin and Kano, having finished with Gorgoths minions joined the fight, but their help was not needed as simultaneously Lochlan and Sir Eoin struck down Gorgoth.
The girl in tow the victorious party returned to Barga to announce their triumph
