Restoring Uthren's Sword
Setting Ethera to Rest, Restoring Uthren's Sword, and Hearing of Moireaca
Again we started the day heading out from Westdel except this time I believe this will be our last trip out of here. Everyone gathered up their belongings and then we started on the road to Cobblepot keeping in mind that we would handle Uthren’s wife Ethera when we came to Stonebridge.

Grizzlegast had everything packed and ready to go in the carriage and was trying to rush us out of town. Sometime during the week a great storm had begun to blow through all of Boddendell. After a few days traveling on the rode we ran into a gnome in whom Gim had a very interesting conversation with. The conversation was taking forever and I had to relieve myself so I stepped outside and heard the warning from the gnome about the ghost that haunts Stonebridge. Gim, with any thought, started into the story about how we’re going to set Uthren’s wife to rest and that she’d be happy to hear our news. I quickly interjected that Gim was drunk and that we’d made sure to avoid Stonebridge at all costs. Obviously, we didn’t want to attract any of the wrong attention on our mission so I decided to shut Gim up and continue on our venture.

We arrived at Stonebridge just before nightfall and decided to make camp just on the other side of the bridge in the local deserted town. This town had a certain presence around it so we knew we must have been in the right place. Since Grizzlegast wanted no part of our adventure and we knew he’d be in trouble on his own we left Eoin with him for protection. Although Grizzlegast assured us that he’d be the one protecting the dumb fighter.

After searching through the town I spotted a keep that was very large and looked like must have housed the most important items of the town. I gathered the group around as we ventured inside. The first room revealed many metal barrel rungs that must had contained the local brew. Considering this was a well guarded room and contained their ale… I knew I liked the people that once inhabited here even if they were gnomes.

Continuing further we found a very narrow hallway that looked like it led to another room. Since I knew we were looking for Ethera and she wouldn’t harm us now that Uthren was dead I ventured on without regard for dangers. Much to my chagrin, several spiders the size of Kano jumped out and began approaching the group. They were simple creatures but still we decided to use some strategy and bottleneck the spiders using the room behind us. After a swipe or two at Kano and me we were safely able to make it into the room behind and vanquish the spiders with much ease. While they were nasty looking creatures their attack style left them completely vulnerable to any tactic of merit.

Again I ventured forward without regard for any danger ahead and found myself trapped inside a large web at the end of the hallway. Inside the room I noticed there wasn’t much inside and that we were at a Dead End. Urgently, I tried to free myself from the webbing which was quite an immobilizing thing, but it wasn’t until I peered up that I saw the creature that had spun the web. I had assumed it was from the six we just defeated but this spider looked five times the size of those. It was obviously eager to eat me or something to that simple nature so I begged Throrn to help me. Just then Lochlan with all of his might was able to pull me off the webbing. I didn’t know where to begin thanking him but instead we decided to charge into the room and surround the beast. This seemed to confuse the creature because he kept spinning around trying to attack myself, Kano, and Lochlan. Had the beast focused his attacks more it might have had a chance but with mine and Gim’s healing we were easily able to keep Kano and Lochlan alive long enough to defeat the beast.

Suddenly, Ethera appeared to us and then Gim started to speak up about how we laid Uthren to rest and how we just wanted her to be set to peace as well. As we expected she was pleased to hear this news and even restored the power back to Uthren’s sword that Rorrin now held. Something she spoke of that we did not expect was to hear that Moireaca was the one that created the spiders here to guard her. She then spoke about Nolugar the Reaver, the Litch-King of the Isle Of Ruin and how Moireaca was trying to get the password to try and awaken him. Moireaca knew that Ethera had one of them and would use them for evil. Lochlan was able to convince her that we would destroy the vault of which she spoke and eventually she told Lochlan the password. He told us later he was unable to decipher what she said. Ethera told us once we had all of the passwords that we’d be able to use them. Then just as quickly as Uthren disappeared, Ethera vanished into nothing and we ended our night sleeping by the carriage.
