Pirates As In Arrr!
Well Maddy kept true to her nature and we ended up having to dispose of her, but we found a nice bit of treasure in the bottom of that cave. So we grabbed our loot and headed out. Once outside we ran into an odd pair, a wand wielding elf and a the biggest person I have ever seen. Turns out they're pirates.

Well the "escorted" us back to their ship to meet with their Captain, a dwarf by the name of Captain Stone. Turns out the dwarf we killed on our first trip into the cave was his brother and he has been looking for him. Well we explained what had happened, with his brother being the servent of the Aboleth and attacking us. The Captain listened to our tale and then had a us locked in the bottom of his ship while he checked out our story.

And so we spent a night in the the bottom of a ship while our fate was decided by what the crew of this ship searched the cave. Next morning the Captain had a laugh at our expense by playing it up that we were in trouble for sorting out his brother but ended up thanking us after making us sweat a bit. Then the party began.

I have to say this is a crew of interesting folk. There was a Half -Orc bard singing song of war and battle, and though I didn't care too much for his improv addition to cutting off beards, I have to say he moved me. We all mixed among the crew, though I was content to listen to the conversations around me I regret not taking the opportunity to learn more of these privateers. Groehl seemed to get along with a few of the mates, I think he even may have takin a liking to the 2nd mate Arcelia, a human female.

Gim looked to be enjoying himself talking energeticly with the gnome, Gambolt, about some huge iron pipe, must be some device of Gambolt's creation. And as active as the party was, Jas seemed happy to speak quietly with the third mate Talbott, a human.

The next morning the Captain wanted a word with us. Seems he has come in to possession of a coin bearing the image of the Aboleth, seems this isnt over yet. He told us of how he came by it and made us the offer of taking us to Baratoria, the secret island used by pirates..oh sorry..privateers. We were all interested and agreed go to the island, curiousity got the best of me. Well, curiousity and the chance for exploreing this ancient island, who knows what we may find. Though water isnt my favorite thing in the world traveling by a ship this size isnt so bad. Here we go again.
