Oh The Stench!
By the gods! How can anything stink that bad!
There was only one tunnel left. I took the lead with Gim in the form of a bear behind me. I guess all the time I have spent around Gim and Kano has taught me a great deal about animals, because I can pretty much understand how they feel when reacting to something said or done.

The next room was not empty. I thought it best if I went ahead to check it out. After swallowing the invisibility potion I had I moved into the next room. They looked to be enormous insects of some kind but I could tell they had some hint of aberrations to them. I thought we would have a harder time dealing with this monstors but the dies rather easily. What happened later was not so easy.

The bodies on the floor and the one in the room to the left had been butcher and from the blood trail in the corner it doesnt look like it stopped them. I hate the undead. We found a small number of items in the room, amoung them a ring with an engraving of Alkazr on it. We didnt get any time to study them more.

A screeching of metal on stone came for the other hall, the one with the strange sealed door. Tenedos was the first to act and I have to say he was being much more aggressive than usual. I lined up with the hallway and could see a number of shapes in the end, roughly my size. I slipped the ring on hoping that Alkazr had put some protection on it that I may use. I was lucky. The ghasts were fowl, their very stench was almost enough to disarm you. And the claws and bites were endless. I did my best to stand toe to toe with them, Uthrens Charge was a vicious weapon against them. Tenedos almost met his end at the start, his incredible attack damage a number of them but they were able to close on him before he could get away. They left him paralyzed and came after the rest of us. Hunter let his arrows fly striking ghast after ghast. Gim and his bear friend tore through them one after another. We all faced their paralysis at one time or another but we came out of it quickly. Tenedos unleashed more leathal spells. Hunter drew his axe and began hacking them apart like wood. Gim and the bear smalled and tore them to pieces. It was a hard fight.

After what seemed to be hours of combat we finally killed the last, I nearly collapsed with relief when the last bit of their paralysis left me.

My only worry is that one of them bit me and it doesnt feel right. I hope I am not infected with anything. Perhaps Gim or Groehl can see to it for me. I think we need rest before continuing. I know I do.
