The Orb And The Truth
We found an orb of power in Tenedos bag and we encounter another Aberration
Sometimes are faith gets tested at the most unexpected moments in life and when these situations present themselves to us… our character and worth are truly shown for what they are.

We found ourselves in the group at an impasse when it comes to personalities. It’s what’s driven us to seek after a group of elementals instead of a hammer, what’s led us not to attack Moireaca, and finally what caused us to argue the way that we do. Granted it’s always for the greater good but upon reaching the Undergates and finally making our way through to a little village, if you could call it that, where Derrinar grew up.

I found the place a little cosy and almost laughable when it comes to security. It was at this moment of realization of the lack of walls when “The Wall” presented himself to us. He was the local police for the town and which his bulking dwarven frame I could see why. Now while I’m not easily impressed with the strength of a man’s physique… he was quite impressive. Gim was taken to him and began questioning him endlessly which annoyed me a little but at the same time it’s proven quite useful in the past even though sometimes it feels monotonous.

So through conversation amongst with the imposing dwarf and the rest of the townsfolk we realize they’re having a situation with anyone of above average intelligence disappearing. It was at this moment that I had the great idea to show off my intelligence to somehow provoke an attack upon myself to whom ever is taking these people. I started showing off Throrn’s powers by healing the locals of whatever diseases may have ailed them. It was quite awhile later that Gim told me even the Wall was missing his son. He also spoke of a local water source that I had no heard of that possibly contained another aberration.

This news started to answer some of my earlier questions and I grew eager to search out this lake come morning.

On our way out Tenedos started acting a little more unusual than normal. He started telling us he saw an aura around the guard at the exit of the town and that he needed to see if he was evil or not. I was confused by the questioning but because I trusted in Tenedos’ intelligence but not his motives I gave him the benefit of the doubt for the moment. It was at this moment that he finally talked Gim into searching the dwarf for a presence in which he instead found a larger evil source coming from Tenedos inside his pack.

I had seen this unexplained action happen before so I realized that perhaps Tenedos was the one being controlled by the orb instead of him actually seeing an aberration. I cast a spell to reveal to me any nearby evil presence but I sensed nothing but the orb. After Peak Hunter ended his fight with Tenedos I cast a hold person spell on Tenedos to relieve him of the orb and hopefully end the madness. After my spell wore off he was still acting the same way which befuddled me to no end. Just then Gim, after growing tired of the confusion, cast a spell to reveal all aberrations in the area. I turned to Tenedos to see his reaction but again nothing happened…that is nothing happened until I turned to see the Wall slammed into the side of the rock. At this moment I feared that my powers were truly not enough to fight this great evil but I may need to make amends somehow with Tenedos for doubting his abnormal actions. Either way, one situation needed to be handled at a time and there’s no way I’m going down to this evil without a fight. For Throrn!
