Gage Part 3
Fire Caving
Into the darkness I led the group further and further. If I cared more for my life I probably wouldn’t have been the first one to enter in…especially since the others were the only ones with a light out, but I don’t so I’m in front. While in front, I found this creature that started to breathe its hot breath on me…so I gave it a whack to let it know I didn’t appreciate that. I’m pretty sure I killed it because it didn’t hit me back. One of the other members…um… the short guy who sings…came with me into the room. I’m not a big fan of people traveling right next to me especially in a new place because in case I fly into a rage I don’t want to kill them… on accident.

So, I ventured forward in a rush to put space between me and my comrades…not realizing that I was going very far away from light, but I figured I was saving them trouble and I’m pretty indestructible so who cares. In my rush I neglected to find my bearings and grab a wall to guide me, so I eventually grabbed my right wall and take it wherever it led. Which was a good strategy until the wall began to light up. I looked around and saw glowing eyes in the darkness. I knew that I would need to take care of myself since I was so far away from my comrades. I drew my sword and flew into a rage and charged the eyes swinging wildly. I connected a few times and appeared to would whatever it was.

The singing man came into the room with a light of which I kind of wish he wouldn’t have, because it just revealed the danger that I had gotten into. Either way, they started throwing fire at me and I was dodging every bit of it…I thank my rogue training for once coming in handy but yeah it was kind of a frantic moment while I started dodging the fire and swinging and then somehow they made more of themselves and shot this fire smoke at me. The battle was kind of a blur besides myself slaughtering every last one of the demons with their glowing eyes and hanging skin.

I guess we must have worn them out because they just gave up fighting at one point. I was a little unsure of what happened so I gave them a friendly crack on the head to see if I could provoke them and it didn’t work. Just then I saw a bigger crazy eyed skinny guy with hanging skin. He was talking gibberish and no one was explaining anything at all so I decided to cling to the shadows and work my way around. The crazy guy was on fire and I figured hey maybe he just wants to be put out. So, I grabbed my last remaining ale and splashed it on him. Looking back on that moment I realize it wasn’t the smartest thing…only because…that was the last of my ale. I mean what was I going to do for victory of the dragon…drink my own blood? Hmm… I don’t think that was get me drunk although I’m sure there’s a lot of ale in my body so…maybe. Would that actually get me drunk though… I would imagine that it’s worth a shot, but…hey like I’ve said before I’ll drink anything once.

People continued talking and I decided to go check out that guy I killed earlier. Turns out…it was just a statue breathing on me, which was actually coming out of a grate in the floor. After, gathering my strength I gave the floor a tug which the guy with a bow gave me a nod. I think my shoulder dislocated a bit from the pull but I just knocked it back in. The hunter looking guy grabbed a hook thing and attached it to the grate and everyone grabbed on. I carefully looked over the strength of the group and thought that maybe the rest of them might equal half the strength of me…so we had a chance.

The grate flew off it’s hinges and slammed into my shins ‘causing them to bleed a little which almost threw me into a rage but I contained it and stared down the hole to find a makeshift ladder. I decided to lead the way down but the prongs I was clinging to didn’t go all the way down…so I pulled a couple out and used them to help me claw my way down. That was actually a fun climb and looking back on it… probably could have killed me but, you only live once.

While at the bottom I peered through another grate to see somebody snake their way past what appeared to be a blacksmith. I was hoping I had been quiet until this moment but wasn’t sure so I figured I’d tell the rest of the group as they floated down. Apparently, they all fit into this little bag…it was quite a feat and I’m pretty glad I climbed down on my own ‘cause it just looked weird.

Either way as I explained to them that we needed to be quiet I reached towards the grate, but suddenly I was slapped in the face by some sludge. To my surprise it was a big pile of sludge that was hitting me. We were quickly surrounded by what appeared to be wet garbage and dirt. The group started to attack and kill one of them, and I used the logic it hit me why not kill it…so I did just that with two large swings.

After the brief fight I realized we probably alerted the guy below so I needed to silence him. As I reached down and ripped the grate off with the help of the other sword swinger. I was grabbed by the rest of the group and grappled. Little did they realize that I needed to stop that thing before he warned the group… I tried using words but that’s not where my strength lies so I threw of my comrades with a large flex of my shoulders, kicked the grate off and fell to the floor before they could stop me.

I landed on my head and almost knocked myself out but there I was standing face to face with this large lizard looking creature, but to my shock and disappointment there was three more of him to each of my sides. I knew I wasn’t going to make it but at least I was going to go down swinging…even if it’s from the floor.

Until I die or lose the ability to multiply.
