Gage Part 5
Fire Caving
Sometimes I feel that my worth in this world is not much, but occasionally I will find my way to become affective. We journeyed further and further until we reached a large round metal thing. I noticed the group walk up to it and I followed them until suddenly I heard a voice inside my head. This repeated its comment of “open”, as I gazed towards the door or this metal circle thing. At first I wondered if it was friend or foe so I asked it if it was my friend.

The spell casting guy looked at me with disgust when I asked my question aloud. I figured that others had heard the voice too and I was just doing the obvious next thing, but they were worried about maybe alerting others. Whatever I mean we’re not exactly struggling against anything down here so those pansies can just suck it up and deal with the outcome. Which…the outcome seemed to be hiding in the shadows as we walked away from the door. Now, my memory isn’t that good and I can’t remember if the shadows attacked me first or someone else, but either way I charge towards the direction of where it came from and swung violently until I saw the dead salamander corpse appear lying on the floor.

I gave out a large howl as I taunted the dead body asking if it wanted me to still open the door, and to my surprise I heard the voice again. At this point I knew we were heading the wrong way so we made our way back up and into a different doorway leading downward. Upon reaching a lower level I noticed the heat had changed to becoming much cooler. As we looked around the corner I realized that we were not alone and had found a much larger room with a giant dog and another of the lizard folk.

Again they tried using their fire damage against us which didn’t work thanks to the short, dirty bear man. With his protection I was able to walk directly into the flame, until of course the Lizard cast a spell to make the fire hotter. This may have been to his advantage except that he positioned himself close enough for me to attack, and attack I did. I reached back with my sword and with a rage I swung through him twice cutting through his entire torso twice. Pleased with my work I jumped through the fire and charged his dog like companion into the same amount of pieces.

Finally, I’m started to prove myself to the group even if they don’t approve of my tactics. Shortly, thereafter I realized that some were talking to these dwarves that apparently had been there for some time. It took me awhile to spot them because I was busy making a trophy of the dog’s teeth. Oh yeah, then we went into some cold cave which would have probably been colder had the short, bear man not given me his protection again.

People went into a cave to talk in another language to something. Whatever that something was it sent a chill up my spine, but at the same time gave me a refreshed feeling. I suppose we had gone so deep into the cave that we were starting to come out the other side of the world where it’s cold. At least that’s what I assumed.

Either way we made our way back out and headed towards the last couple rooms upstairs we found. In one of them we found a caster guy with a book that I think we took the book and I think we decided we’d sell it because it was made of copper or something, but we didn’t sell it for some reason but we should have, but whatever.

And then the other door we went down led to this other Lizard guy who was also a spell caster, but this guy was actually a little tougher. Not because he laid a single blow on me but he prevented me from ever taking a swing at me. He even frustrated me to the point of having to go into a Berserk state to even get close enough to him.

Until I die or lose the ability to multiply.
