Celembril Discovered
I'd finally reached the city Celembril. Word was that a great tournament was going to be held. It was to be my first and I wished to do well. After practicing in a twilight ritual, dancing, tumbling, and balancing on the edge of some rooftops of houses on the edge of town, I decided to blow off some steam. Went to the tavern. And wouldn't you know it? Some drunk elf was shooting his mouth off about "filthy half-breeds" and other asorted comments. It just got to me. Couldn't let it go this time. Damned condescending, holier-than-thou, new money, inflated head albino fop elves. I decided to teach him a lesson. So I accidentally dumped the expensive wine he was drinking on him. Oops. He wasn't too pleased. We had some words, where I disposed of him with my quick wits, and then I left. His companions seemed amused.

But come to think of it, his companions were odd. A tall, lanky elf. He looked weak. I could take him. He tried to play mediator. Amazing such a skinny body could carry all that he was. The other was actually human. He must have been blind because he wore a cloth over his eyes. But he was very heavily muscled. I think I would have problems with him. He wore robes and carried nothing. No weapon, no armor, no supplies. Fool. Well, maybe not. The situation is probably reversed from what everyone thinks. It's the human with the pet packhorse elves!

When I got back to my camp there was a woman waiting for me. A star elf. No, a half-star elf. She offered me a task. Apparently the fop elf has a jewel that belongs to her. He wears it all the time. She offered a great reward if I stole it back. Why not? There should be opportunity. He can't be around those two all the time. And if I get to fight him in the tournament. But there was something about those eyes. . .
