No More Boats!
I hate boats.

I have never had a more miserable experience! I was so sick I thought I would die. If I have to see a boat even a year from now, that would be too soon.

But back to the beginning.

After the tournament, I hung out with the priests in Celembril for a few days. They were creating the prize that Jacques so kindly gave to me. I was so shocked he would do such a thing. Nobody has ever given me a gift. Let alone one of such power! I hope that I will be able to repay him.

After I joined back up with everyone, and I was suprised that they had stuck around, we made our way to the fop's familial home. It was a pretty nice shack. The odd thing was that no one was at home. Of course, if I had been expecting Islan, I'd have ran and hid too.

We met a couple new elves today. A nature cleric and a fey elf. The cleric was pretty quiet. Just kinda stood by and dispassionately watched our antics. The fey elf was in all the business. Even went as far as to put on Islan's mother's clothes! When Islan saw that he got all puffed up like a bullfrog. Put some color in his cheeks. Overall, a little wierd but anyone that can get Islan that mad has got to be alright. I myself told him I was going to search his house for "spare change." Instead I found the monk and spent some time sparring with him. He's cool but he kept saying all these wierd phrases like "Your energy needs to flow like water." He had quit the house pretty much as soon as we got there. I guess he couldn't take the oppressive opulence of the house either.

So even though we never solved the mystery of Islan's disappearing family, we decided to move on. We got passage booked on a ship for the human lands. The Captain seemed, ah, more than competent. I'd have let him give me orders. But he got washed overboard when the ship was caught in a sudden violent storm. Such a pity.

Let me tell you, these human lands are bizzare. Everything is dead. Our ship was broken up on the beach and some items were lost. Most importantly, ny dagger. My beautiful dagger! Balls!! I never even had a chance to use it.
