Orc Cave
At the orcs cave we noticed there was only one guard. Apparently the orcs never expected anyone to dare following them this far. (Forgotten in my last entry was the trail or orc bodies and arrows, ending in our finding the dead rangers sent from Tuallen. They appeared to put up a heroic fight, but were overcome by sheer numbers eventually.)

Veridean snuck up on the guard at the cave's entrance, and once he was dispatched, the rest of us approached the rock face. No sooner had we closed the distance than we were greeted by a giant emerging from the cave's entrance. With flashing swords and a lash of my chain, the giant was quickly fallen without giving away our presence.

We began making our way into the cave, a mazelike work of natural and unnatural rock formations. Many orcs inhabited this place and we were battered and bloody in no time. Much combat was had, and the blood of many an orc fell upon their cave floor, including seeing Aeric best a berserker in single combat, and a shaman attempt to burn us alive.

The single most terrifying thing I encountered was an orc who was raising two HUGE wolf-like creatures. These "wolves" had very tough hide and seemed to shrug off even the mighty blows of Aeric or Gailin and the deft strikes of Veridean. Though it nearly claimed all our lives, and put my powers of healing to it's limits, we all managed to get through this horrible place and make our way deeper into the cave where we hoped to find the missing townsfolk.
