The Abandoned Cavern
When morning broke, (or whenever we all woke up, morning has no real meaning down under the earth), we prepared to continue down the huge corridor when a great commotion disturbed the silence of the cavern. Something of great force was attempting to hammer down the door. Listening closely we could hear the cry of orcs on the other side, hammering what must have been an entire tree up against the door as a battering ram. We knew we had quite some time before they could possibly take down such a massive and magical door, but with enough determination they would... and we had just given them reason enough to pursue us.

We moved down the huge corridor for what seemed like hours... and without the sun to tell time from, it probably was. After passing an incredible number of those huge, well made statues, we finally we came to a door similar to the one sealing the orcs from us. Though it had no runes, it did have what appeared to be handprints near the center. Placing my hands within the grooves I was surprised when the doors parted as if counterweighted. Through one more door we encountered a mammoth room lit by magical torches. Here is where we found the missing townsfolk.

Gerald, the missing heir to Tuallen, explained that they were lead by a mystical force, which told them all they would be safe here. They apparently had tried to leave the room and several of them had been cut down. This did not bode well for myself and my fellow party members...
