I find myself closer now to my homeland than I can ever remember being and yet at the thought of home I think of my tree and of the monastery. I pray that Elder Hiram is well and hope that the accursed artifact we carry brought them no ill. I also pray Dean does not fail the trust we have placed with him, I wish he would give me the burden he carries. I only hope that he keeps it out of honor and duty, not foolishness or bravado.
Being in this forest has also brought me closer to enlightenment. Through something akin to awakening I have come to understand some of the druidic knowledge and magic which I grew up around. |
