So much has happened this day... I am exhausted to simply think of it. The foe our goblin friend needed help with was a black dragon, and we were all badly injured in the fight with it, but in the end were victorious. It guarded a great bounty of treasure, which much pleased Danyelle. Upon our return to the Goblin City I quickly learned two things, one being that Danyelle way a criminal of the church, but for what I cannot say. I knew this because of strange claw like markings covering his chest. We also learned that those are indeed the markings of what the goblin call the bear people, a barbarian tribe as near as I can understand it. The other thing I learned is that the one that the goblins call the rune maker is definitely as worthy of the fear the goblins show for him. As nearly as I can understand it he is a magical construction that is intelligent and a sort of lore keeper. He came for us and asked us to come tell him our story and he would help us. We accepted. He led us into what seemed to be an underground tower. The walls of this place were covered with runes. More knowledge lie written there than could possibly imagine. I simply hope that we have not gotten in over our heads.... |
