Mages And Men
I feel the change. Long has my brethren sought what I have found. Ancient lore speaks of this power, something beyond the normal imaginings o9f most arcanists. The strength of the wyrms. Never in my long years had I come across this opportunity. I fear, though, that I have lost something in this transformation. He may have not noticed, but I saw the look, felt the change in the air. Dantas does not understand the change I geel his distrust, my falling in his ideals. It saddens me how easily opinions can be swayed. Yes, I could give any number of reasonings and referencings to him on the nature of such acts as mine. This is the line my kind has had to tread for ages, the reminder of distrust between the arcane and the populous. We have always had to bear this burden of mistrust, and always will. But what really has happened? How far is the gap between what I have done and the man who devours the stah to gain his own strength. I will see what can be done with what we have saved of the dragon for Gedeon's cause. As for Dantas, he must ask himself the difficult questions of the heart. It is up to him what I am in his eyes.
