Never Judge A Book By Its Cover
And we go south. And walk. And bake. I never thought I'd say this, but thank the gods for magic or I'd be laying in the dirt unable to move.

So we're traveling along the dried up riverbed. Eventually, we find a bunch of tents. Poking around in the tents we found bodies. Bodies that had been there a while. I guess they didn't know how to endure elements like us because some had burst from the heat. They had also been gnawed on. I felt my stomach heave, but I kept everything down. The odd thing is that they were dressed in the robes of El-Alahd. And they said nobody has travelled this way for years. I even found this old medallion I saw some of the clerics wearing. Balls. I don't know. These bigwigs use their funny big words and twist what they say. So everybody is poking around. Jacques takes all the bodies away for Dolartu to dispose of with a litte magic. I think the smell of the burning corpses was almost worse than the stench of rotting bodies. But then we met the goblins. They wanted to trade magic weapons for stuff. Well, I wasn't about to give up MY weapons. But Dolartu gave them the mithryl and adamantine swords she was carrying. I wouldn't have given up the adamantine sword, seeing as how its been pretty useful, but whatever. I gave at least one of the swords to Dolartu to do with as she saw fit. But she got potions, and scrolls, and information, after making an agreement, one that Arung really didn't like, giving goblins weapons and all. But then we hung out and partied. I drank a couple goblins under the table, leaving me with their bottle of cactus juice. Suits me. I win.

Oh yeah! And I had a talk with Islan. Like a real talk. Actually, it was kind of nice. He was playing this flute. It was nice to get a taste of home. But then people started waking up and things seemed wierd sitting there with him.

Finally, we're on our way again. Then we run into more people. They were probably attracted by the blast of this dirt we found in barrels under the camp. They invite us to camp with them. And we share food and drink. I compare scars with the head guy, Barrett, and shared my goblin cactus juice too. Then we went to bed. We posted our own watch. When it was time for Anwar's turn, she was too sick to hardly even move. Come to think of it, I felt slightly off too. Makes sense since these people were the RAT BASTARDS IN LEAGUE WITH THRENODY! And stupid Islan and stupid Jacques refuse to fight her! Fools. Do they think that will keep her from attacking us? Hell no! As she promptly displayed that as she sunk her blade into Islan's soft belly. Fools!

I took care of Barrett pretty much by myself. I was a little put out. I had really kind of liked him. And I know Anwar was attracted to him as well. Cute, seemed like a nice guy. I shared my liquor with him. I mean, I compared scars! Then when he turns out to be head rat, I killed him. I gave him the chance to run away. Guess he'd rather die. I knew I couldn't really hurt Threnody, but I carved him up one side and down the other.

This woman who decided to travel with us took care of the bitch. She's an odd duck too. Islan seems almost toung-tied around her, but stays close. Meanwhile, Dolartu is kinda angry with Islan. I'm not too sure why. Maybe she's jealous. Her and Islan were like best friends. But she controls herself well. This new chick keeps her secrets. As long as she doesn't do anything to jeopardize our mission, she won't have to meet the sharp side of FrostFang.
