My feelings are torn this day, but despite the sadness I feel at the loss of a companion, I am overjoyed. Elana is no longer captive of that horrible woman who brought death to the land all around. The moment I saw her I knew that everything was going to be alright. When I released her from the wagon she hugged me closely I took her from the wagon to see everyone. It was approximately then that I realized that none of us could hear. This was merely the unfortunate side effect of some magic during our fight. The reason for my sadness though is that after our fight, as we went to the wagon to save Elana, Blake was the first to attempt to open the doors, and was killed by a firetrap. I am not disheartened by this because Elana said in a knowing way that he would be fine. I feel that although we have endured tragedy our quest is complete, and I am content to merely be with Elana and able to protect her from future harm.
