War On The Winds
Rather interesting company the Gideon army keeps nowadays. It would seem that the rumors of their defeat at Tualland are true. I wonder of the other rumors from there, of an orc army and the tales of an army of undead und the banner of Sellador's black knight. The latter of these greatly disturbs me. Always has the Selladorian church pressed the side of light, though, many times in the blindness of a devout zealot. But if these tales are true, it seems that a great cancer has spread under the pristine skin of church doctrine. With the revelation of the demon cult in Allstone, it would be the most prudent course of action to accompany these people who serve under the king of Gideon: Lord Verdain.
As to this group, my what a mix of unlikely allies they be. An elven warrior from the north, sporting the marksmanship that his people are reknown for. A young and beautiful woman of faith. She carries with her a secret, not of her elven blood, though that too she should keep hidden, as well in this land. Then there is the fae musician of the forests. He, perhaps, is in the greatest of danger traveling amid this land, for there is no telling of the cruelties the clegy would visit upon one of the merry fairy folk. Though all these people seem to carry the burden of sorrow, my fellow arcanist appears to bear a deeper weight thatn the others. I wonder, what tragedy has fallen one so young? Last, I speak of the mountain of a man. A fighter by trade, else I am a blind man. He trusts in the strength of the arm, perhaps too much so. With age, one must exercise the mind as the body begins to fail.
As I said, strange allies Gideon relies on. I think I will enjoy this last journey, and if they will suffer an old man's wish, I may just prove how useful a doddering old man can be.
