| The first trees |
In the dawn of the world during the age of dreams the goddess Lahantwene brought the first trees into the world. These were called the Aelari, and in these trees could be seen aspects of all trees of the world that were yet to be born.
Due to the Sundering, none of the original Aelari have survived from that ancient time to the present day. The dryad Maia is said to have been born from the seed of one of those first trees, a great treasure passed down through the royal family of Tel-Tenauril. |
