Before
Today I arrived at Tuallen where I had heard there were orc invasions. I see some evidence of such invasions, but I need to rest, and do more research tomorrow. The people here seem nice enough, but I am concerned about showing my powers to the people of the city. How I wish people weren’t s afraid of magic. Though they do seem to have a much better attitude towards it then when I was up north some weeks ago. With orcs invading perhaps I might find a group of travelers that I can go with. I grow weary of traveling alone. Watching your own back is rewarding, but it is also very tiring.

Well goodnight journal my one companion on this journey of mine. Hmm journal, journey, I’ll ponder that similarity in my sleep I’m sure.

Well today was very productive I found out they the orc raids are coming in with more force nearly every other day now, and that they are coming from the north. I am fortunate that I did not meet a war party on my way south to this city. The city itself seems to be overburdened with these raids, and in desperate need of help or reinforcements. I’m glad I came when I did I should be able to use my powers to the cities advantage. I will have to be careful where I use them however as the citizens of Tuellan are not accustomed to magic of any kind. There were rumors that reinforcements might be on their way from the King, but most of these seem unsubstantiated. Tomorrow I go looking for people with whom I can fight, and I’m going to venture cautiously to the north of the city. The walls up north are starting to look deteriorated, and weak.

Venturing north was beneficial, although quite stupid. I moved out from the southern gate this morning, and meandered my way northward until I was in the forest to the northeast of the city. From that vantage point I could see the city walls had been ravaged to a far worse condition then I thought from what I saw within the city. And while I was standing there I watched a large group of orcs creep towards the city and lay in wait for dark. I wasn’t sure how many groups there might be, but as I didn’t see any others I decided to try myself against the group of four that I had seen. As I began to move in the forest towards them I stumbled across a group of orcs much the same as the ones I had been aiming for. Quite to my own surprise as well as theirs I had unusual luck seeing as I had had my staff up to push aside branches, I Knocked one in the head, and knocked it out all by accident. The other orcs jumped to their feet, as they had been watching the city walls as well. Their backs were to me though so not one to wait around I slammed by staff across all three of their backs, and shot them all with an electric orb. The effects were quite stunning. I must be more powerful then I thought. All three died from their Orbs, and I was able to dispatch the fourth with my dagger. I looted through their bodies, and found quite a bit of gold. This is good because I was afraid I might run out of funds to keep my room. Having been emboldened by my first encounter, I went to where the original group was, and killed them in the same manner. After that I realized that I had been very lucky, and I had better return to the city, and prepare for the attack this evening. But I had to write this encounter down, as it was very exhilarating for me.

This evenings attack came in force, quite a large force. The orcs had siege towers, and other instruments of war. The northern end of he city is in ruins, and I feel very tired. Perhaps I should leave this city. Things are not looking good. I would rather not be taken by an army of orcs. More tomorrow it has been a very long day.

Hmmmmm Yes I should have left the city days ago. Today an army out of Selador took the city with little resistance. The guard force for the city has been weakened too much by the orc attacks. I need to lay low for a while. Good thing I have this room at the Dead Orc In the soldiers are quite rude, and I can only imagine hat they would give to have a room rather then their barracks.

Several days have passed I’m trying to take it easy I rarely leave the tavern downstairs. I have picked up that the leader of the city has been slain, and that his son is missing or slain. I also heard that Galain Prince of Gideon is being held by the Seledorian forces. I don’t know if this is true or not, but it does not seem to bode well for me, or for Gideons future.
