The Mouth Of The Beast
The twenty-third day of Satur, in the year 3012
Well, I must say that my new companions are not exactly the safest group to travel with, to put things mildly. In the last 3 days I have only had one night's rest. In that period I spent the first day in what we later found out were the Korstag Mountains in an altitude so extreme that I could barely breathe. That night I was actually on fire and would surely have died if not for the fact that I was sheltered with 6 others in an animal burrow. That night I was separated from my most faithful of friends. I know he lives, but for whatever reason I am unable to locate him.
Not that I have had time, for the next day I ended up in the throat of a remorhaz. (A sketch of which I have included.) I would, again, have most surely died if not for the magic of Mr. Dolartu and the daring rescue of our new friend Anwar.
In light of the remorhaz's attempt at making me a meal, I feel it appropriate to include a recipe I had once come upon.

Remorhaz Stew

2 tbsp. flour
1 pound remorhaz meat, cubed
3 1/2 cups tomato juice
1/2 cup chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/2 tsp. dried thyme, crushed
2 1/4 cups cubed, peeled potatoes
2 cups sliced carrots
1 cup sliced celery

Place flour in a thick cloth bag. Add remorhaz meat cubes, a few at a time, shaking to coat. In a large saucepan, brown meat, half at a time, in hot oil. Return meat to saucepan. Add tomato juice, onion, garlic, basil, and thyme.
Bring to boiling. Simmer 1 hour, or until meat is nearly tender. Add potatoes, carrots, and celery. Simmer 30 minutes more.
