Hobgoblin
A Warrior race with a strong sense of duty.
Hobgoblins much resemble their smaller cousins in their main features, but their skin tone tends towards reds and oranges, and their size and frame more closely matches that of human beings.

Of all the goblinoid races, the hobgoblin is by far the most militaristic. Many hobgoblin tribes combine their love of warfare with tribe mentality, drilling and practicing the art of war. Hobgoblins understand the need for law and order, and it is only their constant warring with other monstrous humanoids - including other hobgoblin tribes - that keeps them from becoming an army and real threat to other civilizations. They respect the law, though which law they obey - the laws of society, war, the tribe, or a personal code - is often in a state of flux.

A Common practice amongst hobgoblins is to work as a mercenary, a profession that provides an excellent opportunity to test themselves against a wild and dangerous world that is yet within a structure of contract. At worst a hobgoblin will bend the rules to torment or lord over a lesser foe, or to gain an unfair advantage. At best, however, a hobgoblin is honorable, tactically brilliant, courageous, and eager to test themselves and the lessons they have fought and trained hard to learn.
