I ready myself to sleep now in a well-guarded camp surrounded by friends and at peace for the first time in a very long time. We are surrounded by a tribe of Barbarian people that we befriended through Danyelle's prowess and strength. Somehow as I understand it these people are ancestrally related to him. He bested their leader in single combat, and when it was all done they cheered him as one of their own. Late this night as we readied ourselves for sleep a stranger approached the camp and startled the Bear tribe, however upon running to meet this cloaked figure I was greeted by a familiar voice and a smile. As somehow magically I can only assume Aranor had come to rejoin us. He is truly a blessing from the gods, a spirit sent to watch over us and guide us in our travels, and I was overjoyed to see him again. Here now, with Elana and Aranor, and my friends, I feel complete and content for the first time in what seems like years. |
