The Search Begins
As the search for the artifacts begins I grow even more wary of our leadership
The temple has been found. The ancient artwork impresses me for human work. We discovered that the statue of Aranor was a defense mechanism of the temple. It separated into two clay golems which we defeated but at no small feat. The shaman's healing has saved me yet again. I still do not know why she chose to aid this rable. She has aided me as well as the others on numerous occasions but she still seems to treat me with a certain amount of distain. after the golems we searched further into the temple and found an armory of enchanted weapons. It was here that i was graced with the company of the Chains of honor. It is a truly wonderous blade of witch I have never seen an equal. It spoke to me, somethink that I am not unacustomed to but certainly not ready for. i must backtrack and say that we did have a conflagration of souls to contend with as soon as we disrupted the weapons. Yet again the spirit shaman dispatched it with little effort. after finding several other artifacts we continued on. Roven, our supposed leader, found a room that seemed very different tham the others in that it had a black obsidian floor. The floor turned out to be a pudding as was coveyed to me by my new freind The chains of honor. Were it not for the firestorm from the shaman it woud have been much worse. After that came the library of flying books. At this point the party got separated. There were two doors and the books were becoming very iritating. Roven took one as did the monk. Lathen, the elf who left the elven lands with me and the shaman Lia Nialo took the other. What happened with the satyr and monk after that I can only guess, and after this most recent combat I must say that I really do not care. as I crossed the room that ws obviously a laboratory the euipment shattered and another golem apeared this one was a bit different though. Having made good use of my iaijutsu skills against the last two I drew my anscestral blade and struck my enemy soundly. It was then that the spray of acid gushed forth from the wound I had just made. I had no choice but to continue. I could not fail in what I believed to be my lords true order. I fought as did my friends . They did all that they were able but it became apparent that the bulk of the fight rested on me. Again Lia summoned an earth elemental and pinned the golem but that did nothing against the acid that poured from the wounds. Roven and the monk finally entered through the opposing door and joined the fray... sort of. I had taken mass amounts of damage and could feel my life force slipig from me Lia and Roven both did what they could to aid me but everytime that I ws injured it seemed that I was stepping closer to death. The monk, having been doing nothing more than stand in the corner finally entered combat and was acctually lending aid. The satyrs singing seem to be aiding Lathan also for his arrows seem to be finding thier mark more. still the satyr had yet to attempt to enter combat. It seemed that he was content to watch as we bled to kill the thing. Finally he stepped forward and dealt his first blow which was by chance the deathblow. This is where I felt my spirit leave me. the creature exploded in an acidy wave. Moments later I was returned to life by Lia. I owe her a life debt by my honor now. I would have it no other way. It seems funny to me that a knighted being would act with as much cowardace as I witnessed but I have never held much regaurd for the judgement of men. A simple shaman by human standards, nothing special, and yet she had even at one point in the battle drawn an axe and attempted to do battle while a knight stood by. Curse the realm of men. Thier ignorance is unforgivable. I await the day that I may go before my lord and tell him that I have delivered him yet another success. Then may i never have to return to these people again.
