Entering The Caves
For gold, glory and Throrn
The goliath rangers led us to the small crack in the mountain side. It was far smaller than we expected, and Gim was forced to leave his bear companion behind. The opening was so small that myself and my fellow dwarves, being stout, and hearty in our build, had a difficult time fitting through. At one point I did become stuck and it took the strength of both Rorrin and Groehl to push me through.

Once inside the mountain we were treated to the most dazzling sight I have ever seen in my travels, a cave rich in wealth, totally untouched by any mining. Its walls were in bedded with the richest veins of gold, silver and even diamonds! The time to wonder at this sight was not long, as our mission kept us from marveling any further. There was a battle to be fought and a people to free.

Down the tunnel we traveled until we came to a hole in the floor that allowed us to peek down at a large cave where the Ogres had set the goliaths to work for them. The decision to attack was made quickly, and immediately the entire party leapt into the room to do battle with the Ogres.

Here we all showed our worth, using magic, skill and brute strength to slay two of the Ogres before any of the others could react. The noise of our battle alerted the other monsters to our presence and soon the entire room filled with Ogres....
