We quickened our pace after the fight with the Roc. Cliffjumper, being the only one who knew where the secret entrance was lead the way. We soon found ourselves before a small opening in the cliff wall, it was so small that only Gim and Grokbuk the goblin could enter without squeezing through. The goliaths barely made it inside and poor Kodan had to remain behind. Inside the cave I witnessed one of the most beautiful sites I have ever seen. The walls were covered with precious gems and metals that were completely untouched, there wasnt an inch that wasnt covered in wealth. I have to admit I was tempted to start mining a small portion right there but the goliaths told us it was a sacred place. Out of respect for their faith I held back.
As we continued Hunter scouted ahead. I held back this time, there was too much light and I wasnt going to risk it. After a few moment he returned, telling us that some giants were in the room ahead of us forcing hostages to mine the wealth of the caves. The goliaths were enraged by this and the rest of us were ready to begin the fight. We came to the ledge over the room, prepared and attacked. The four giants were shocked by our sudden entrance and the advantage was ours. Now to show them what its like to face a trained force of combatants. |
