Discovery Of The Belt
We delved farther into the cave and came upon a room filled with items of the arcane. Potions galore and miscellanious concauctions abound in this place. Something caught my eye and I hefted a small figurine from one of the tables... this was a mistake as it was no statuet at all but an Imp in disguise. It took three of us to take down the tiny creature, at which point we grabbed anything of interest and ran deeper into the cavern.

The only real things of interest we gathered was a very ancient looking smithing hammer, and a finely crafted belt. Without discussion on put the belt on and when we encountered a HUGE stone door, something strange happened... I, and only I was able to read the writing around the door. This writing was foreign to us all, and yet somehow I was able to comprehend all that it said.

By accidentally uttering a command word inscribed on the door we were able to get beyond it. The door moved on it's own and returned to place as soon as we were past.

After Veridean scouted farther ahead of the doorway we made camp. All of us were exhausted and badly injured after our encouters with the orcs. We laid rest opposite the door within this immense ornate cavern. Though the statues depicted humanoids, they were not human or even the fabled Elves of which we had all heard stories (and aparently Gailin may have met), but very squat men with great weapons.

The people who took the time and skill to craft this great place must have been incredibly patient or at least long lived. I hope they are not unhappy with our entering their home.
