The Journey Of Beyond

The ritual completed, he had a vague recollection of killing almost all of his friends, and suddenly he was in a grove with Jerick, Alawan, a dwarf, and the fey that he destroyed.

They were staring into a scrying pool. He walked over to Jerick and the others. "That was a horrible idea!" he exclaimed. The others looked up surprised. "Indeed." declared Jerick. They watched Aranor destroy himself to do away with Blake's evil creation.

Then he knew it was time to walk away from this realm. He stepped over the veil of life and death. To his surprise, he did not see a realm of torture and depredation. Instead, he saw his grandmother, smiling at him. She was young again.

"I knew you weren’t the monster everyone said you were."

A tear escaping his eye, he merely walked forward, and embraced the only goodness he had ever known. "There is more to learn, Blake. Your learnings are not complete. Look upon the world that has prevailed." she commanded.
A torn, blasted land of darkness filled his vision. A landscape teeming with undead and abominations too offensive to put a name to permanently imprinted itself onto his memory. He knew his time of life was not finished. Now that Naresh was defeated, he had to fill the land with goodness to make up for the evil he had unleashed.

He swore, then and there, that he would never do wrong by anyone again. He devoted his energies to listening to his grandmother speak of goodness.

He had to apply this new knowledge to the new world.
