The Elven Druid
Dean and the others left the elven encampment with the elf that had spoken with them when they had been captured. He was a half-elf and his name was Phenerell . According to him there were headed to a town called Irzantha, a few days east of Thanandir. When the group arrived they gathered in the inn. This is where the full effect of the elves impacted Dean the most. The elf that ran the bar did not acknowledge the presence of anyone that wasn’t an elf. Dean sat in the corner of the inn with his cloak hood pulled over his head as far as it would go. So this is how Jerick felt in Selador. Humans had not been in this land in over a thousand years, yet elves still traveled Selador, without being seen for who knows how long and were still regarded as a myth. Now Dean was being overlooked, but not because he was thought of as a myth. Phenerell ordered the food, as Alawan jabbered on about how he was a knight of the elven court. As the group ate Phenerell told them about some strange happenings in the area. Evidently the area was being terrorized by dark elves. These dark elves only came out at night; perhaps these beings knew something about the location of Elana’s whereabouts. So the party came up with a plan, Dean would cast a spell that would set an alarm to tell when something entered the area of the spell. He and Alawan would sit in the middle of the area of effect and the others would wait. Perhaps it was a bit rudimentary, but everyone else agreed. So that night Dean and Alawan slept while ever one else waited. All of the sudden the alarm went off, Dean leaped to his feet letting off a spell that would protect him and ready to fight. Instead of some dark elf there was a big brown bear wandering into camp, seemingly annoyed by the shrill alarm going off. The bear walked up to the stew Alawan had cooked and started eating. Dean turned off his magic alarm and tried to shoo the bear out of camp. All of the sudden every one else was there with arms drawn. Then the bear was no longer there, in its place sat a small little elven girl with wild red hair. She introduced her self as Suzara and she was hungry and said we seemed to have more than enough to share. Every person then saw Phenerell standing on the edge of the alarm spell seemingly dazed by something. Jerick examined him and pointed out two pinpricks on the side of his neck, and Phenerell complained about feeling cold and out of sorts. Suzara suggested that we take Phenerell to see a healer and that she knew of one not too far away.
We marched for a day until we came to a wall of brambles and thorns. Over the course of the day Dean realized that Suzara was older than him, but still acted like Alawan, as a matter of fact these two got along pretty well. Dean instantly liked Suzara . As the group neared the wall, Suzara disappeared into it; popping her head out saying, “well aren’t you coming.”

Then “Oh yeah that’s right you can’t, we gotta take the long way ‘round”

The group camped the night outside of the wall of thorns and got up the next day and started walking till they came to a river with a splendid waterfall, which was around late afternoon. A shimmering rainbow bowed out from a cliff beside the waterfall that ended next to a tall tree on the other side of the briar bushes. Suzara led them up the trail to the rainbow coming off of the cliff, and skipped out on to the misty rainbow. At first Dean thought that she would fall onto the sharp rocks in the pool below, but instead was skipping merrily across thin air. Dean summoned the forces within him and stepped over the edge to be caught by solid mist. When Dean reached the other end he wondered how to get down, as he didn’t have feather fall memorized today. So Dean did what everyone else did and climbed down the tree. On his way down however, one of the branches was wet from the mist that had carried him across, and Dean fell solidly on his back knocking the wind out of him. Danyelle helped Dean to his feet and everyone started towards the healer’s house. The healer turned out to be an elf that was Suzara’s father. His name was Jemerall and he was a druid. Jemerall told them that Phenerell had been attacked by one of the Dark elves, and that he could treat him. The party camped outside of Jemerell’s house as he took Jerick aside. The next day Jemerall started to treat Phenerell , and told us where to find the dark elf's lair. The group left Phenerell in Jemerall’s care and headed north to the cave of the dark elves.
