Way Out Here
The feel of power running through my veins lately can only be my dragon blood growing stronger as I learn to unlock my powers. Having lightening, and Fire flow through my arms, and out of my fingertips is indescribable. I have learned much in our travels through the mountain pass, and then he forest. Aeric was correct this is not a Path to be taken by an inexperienced traveler. We have met a new friend as well. He has many unusual thoughts about everything from what we are doing to how to do magic. He has helped me understand much about other peoples. I believe we have estranged him from his people. I’ll get into that later. We are now here in Dheosone, Aerics home town, and we are continuing on our journey to find Dean. Our immediate concern however is Verideans condition. We are close to a full moon, and she will change again. We can’t get to an herbalist until tomorrow, and tomorrow eve is the full moon. There is no guarantee the herbalist will have the herb we need, and thus we do not know what to expect in the next several days. Aerics Aunt said something at Supper about knowing something of her disease, but who can tell with these easterners. I do hope we can cure this portion of her sickness. The other thing, which I shall not mention should these journals fall into the wrong hands, is worse enough.

As for our new companion his name is Llowen he is from around these parts, as much as a gypsy is from anywhere. It is nice to be traveling with the Princes of Gideon, and yet it is very refreshing to meet people that have no idea who Gailin is, and don’t care if he is a prince or not. This seems to perturb him a bit, but he gallantly moves on after realizing his name means nothing to these people. Llowen was our first example of this. We rescued him from a pair of giants on our way here, though I believe he might have been able to take care of the situation himself. He taught me many things from that point on including a much better way to think of Gailin’s antics. He seems to enjoy attributing my magic to his God, and thus he thinks of my powers on a godlike level, and that is OK with me. He also takes a lot of shots that would have been meant for me, and that too is OK with me. I have come to very much enjoy Gailin's brash ways. I’m sure he will still annoy from time to time, but as long as I keep an open mind I should be able to understand what he is doing.

We had an incident in the forest on the way here. An incident with Goblins, and a tree Ent left me feeling quite good about Gailin. We both refused to give up anything of value to the goblins forest spirits, and Thus we later had to fight the tree spirits (the tree Ent) as Gailin sliced into its side, and I saw blood gushing from the tree I realized that tree was not normal, and so I blew it up. I believe the rest of the party was not happy with the two of us, but I refuse to give up any of my things to some evil creature’s spirits. I do not believe in such things, and I was right. So as I was saying I’m much happier with Gailin.

I’m going to try to become a better companion to those in our group, I fear however that it will be difficult being a sorcerer. I suppose that is fine though. I have gone all these past years friendless, and alone, and at least I am not alone anymore. Perhaps I shall live out my life out here beyond all the governments of the world. Where I can sit, and study in quiet. Who knows, but now that I am out here so far from home I realize I do not miss home that much at all. Out here in the wilderness I feel so much more at home. I envy Aeric his upbringing. Though it has made him a harsh man, it has also made him strong. I can only wonder where our adventures shall take us next.
