The Salty Dog
Journal 11 of the Heralds Of The Dawn.
To be a king, you must act like a king; but to act as a king does not necessarily make you a king. It’s the simplicities of logic, which rule my every action these days. I seem the same, in all ways but thought; things should be different yet they feel the same. We are coming upon the southern port of Allstone and I am to go into town and find us a ship upon which we can book passage north, into the Elven lands. It is duties like this which allow me my sanity, that show me that I am still what I have always been. Maybe things won’t be so different. I hope.

-----------------------

I’ve returned to our camp just a mile or so out of Allstone and it appears that I may have found us passage into the Elven lands. The Captain seeks out 1000 gold pieces for his services, but somehow I doubt his intentions. It seems he is a loyalist to the church of Aesia and though it appears that he believes that I am also a loyalist, I still wonder if he could suspect who we are, if so we could all be in danger, though Jerick seems to believe that this is our only route. I have spoken to him about my apprehensions about this Captain but Jerick insists that this is our only way, so tomorrow Jerick, Alawan and I will head into town to sell a couple of the magically imbued weapons that we found several days ago to raise money for our passage. After which we will go to the Salty Dog and attempt to make a deal. For now I just hope everything goes well.
