Throrn Leads Me Beside Unstill Waters
While traveling back to the ship we're ambushed by Lerl thugs
The more time on spend on Barataria the more I start to miss the stonework and comradery that would soon welcome me at the gates of Citadel. Even though I returned not so long ago with my brother, under dire circumstances, it was just a reminder of what I’m missing while adventuring with some of my new found friends. While I enjoy the glory in battle and the chance to slam my pick into the side of anyone who opposes Throrn, I still wish that someday soon I’ll be welcomed back into my church with plenty of holy water to celebrate the many victories that The Shield Of Citadel has sustained during our tenure.

Now that my memories of Citadel had warmed my heart, it was time to head back to the ship for some questioning with Captain Stone. We were all a little concerned with the fact that the crew had been spreading rumors of our exploits with Lerl. Granted we had some troubles on the waters...more than Grizzlegast relieving himself or the side of the ship...but rather some water beasts, but they didn’t put up much of a fight and the sea did not show itself to be any great power compared to that of any good mountain. No wave of the sea could compare with the mighty power of a rockslide from the hands of Throrn.

Again my reminiscing distracts me from my walking and causes me to be caught off guard. Perhaps, I should have been more careful but I fear nothing from this island especially from the likes of Lerl. While walking back to the boat we encountered eight or so thugs from Lerl. They were able to strike first and fast...which was quite needed since after the initial attack we turned them back on their heels quite fast. It appeared that these men depended strongly on the ability to surprise our campaign and once their presence had been made known they were held defenseless against our...um... rebuttal if you will. One might say that their opening argument was a strong one but once Throrn’s power took to the pulpit there was nothing stopping us from slaughtering these fools.

During the fight Jas was able to strangle one of the morons with his bare hands and knock him senseless until he fell to the ground unconscious. I was able to judge that in a few hours he become conscience again but for now we stripped the men of their belongings and took the survivor for questioning. Now when it comes to matters of questioning I have to admit I’m not the strongest. I feel that there’s no need to resort to deception or violence but merely to call to Throrn to show us the true answers. With his help I was able to discern that the man knew nothing of who hired but rather a location to the south of the middle island. We then went to the Captain... which was our intentions from the start and explained everything from the thugs of Lerl to the mutinous crew. The Captain showed forgiveness to his mates even though I found it foolish I suppose I found it more foolish to fire his crew and try to find anyone better on THIS island. So, with our only clue leading us to a location we decided to head down to where we were told to go.

Tenedos was keen to the idea of trying to use a disguise to gain information to wherever we were going so we appeased the arcane user for the moment and found the body of the ringleader. Good thing the town was slow to dispose of the bodies. On the way down we again ran into a leader of the church of Lerl. I was ready to unleash my mighty pick upon the head of this patron but instead I decided to unleash my tongue instead. For it was Throrn that once said“..the tongue is sharper than any two edged sword, now drink up and quench your blade”. My friends seemed unerved by my verbal attacks but I felt no fear with Throrn by myself, since he’d brought me through much tougher struggles than this man. Apparently, they all decided to go talk to the fool to find our more information. I grew disgusted with them and departed to a local tavern to consult with Throrn by means of becoming blessed. After many blessings I rejoined The Shield Of Citadel to once again take on the evils that plagued Barataria. For Throrn!
