Homeward
Magic resides in the air around us, and people don’t even think about what they breathe in.

Our battles have been waged, the field made bloody with the lives of dwarves and orcs alike. Tuallen has been restored to it’s rightful lord, and the foe driven off. How can it be that we have been so successful? I, ever the suspicious one, can hardly believe our fortune.

We have taken among our members a new comrade, a mysterious human, a natural magic user. His name is Jaxom. I suppose to be more precise, I brought him in. Something drew him to me, alone in the corner, as I have been many a time. He almost got himself killed in the final battle that night. Lord Talbot and his assassins, trying to go after Gailin and the king. Ah yes, King Aldaric of Gideon. It would seem I have become entangled with the royal family now. This could come as a great advantage to me, if I play my cards well enough. Though our adventure has ended, the boys, as I have taken to calling them, affectionately, do not appear to wish to separate completely. Our paths will continue to cross, though none know when.

With my newly conditioned skills, I will perhaps pursue further work, attempt to perfect some of my methods. I’ve gotten my taste for swordplay and have found it to be to my liking. With the orc blade Heartseeker in my possession, I have great confidence in my abilities. I am interested perhaps in improving my aim with range weapons though. The bow has been a curse upon me. It would be a pity to simply give up though. I haven’t given in so far, there’s no reason to stop while I’m ahead. So I shall return to Allstone, so the place I made my home, though it seems doubtful now that I will be content to stay there. Especially since now I realize I don’t have to.
