Nightmares And Memories
Was Lochlan a dream?
I dont understand. I know my memories of Lochlan are real and I know that I have spent the last few months traveling with him and not with these two. But Kambei and Derrinar know all about us and our adventures. They speak of them as having been and even how they took part in them. Wait wait let me go over this again.

We climbed back out of the aboleths den and were met by Jaren of the Red Robes. We chatted, we were invited back somewhere I am not suppose to speak about and then we returned to the newly rebuilt Rose Pearl. Here Grizzlegast bid us farewell, he decided he would join the third order to learn. I have to admit I am a little sad to see the stinky little fellow go. His services were a great help to us and his knowledge helped us survive a number of times. Ah well hes doing whats best for him.

Our voyage was easy for the first few days. On evening of the sixth day an unnatural storm approached from the east. At first I thought it was only Lurl being her usual fickle self, but I was proved so very wrong. While I was below deck I heard the boom of lighting and say the mast splinter and crack below. All of us rushed up no deck. What I found was a disaster.

The main mast had been sundered completely. It threatened to fall in the waves and drag the ship. Gim and I rushed to the Captain to see what we could do to help. I caught a glimpse of Athenor flying off to confront some women in the clouds.

The Captain was fighting with the helm to keep control so Gim as a bear helped him. Mean while the Captain told me to cut the main mast away so it wouldnt drag. I yelled for hunter to help me and between the two of us we had it away in no time. But it didnt do us any good.

The next thing I new giant flaming boulders fell from the sky. They took the ship apart in moments. I didnt see anyone left alive when the waves finally claimed me. I thought it was the end.

I woke in a cold sweat. I was in my bunk on the Rose Pearl. Everyone else bolted upright at the same time. It was bizarre! What was worse was Lochlan was no where to be seen and two strangers were asleep in the same bunk room with us. What was going on.

No one on the ship knew what we were talking about, they all insisted that there had never been a Lochlan traveling with us and Kambei and Derrinar had been with us since they met us. I dont know whats going on here! None of this makes sense. Either the Aboleths have effected the five of us or something is wrong with the world. I have decided I dont have a chance at figuring this out myself so I am just going to accept that for some reason I have no memory of our two new friends and relearn what I apparently should already know of them.

I refuse to believe Lochlan was some phantom memory. I will find an answer to this some day. But I have something else to think of now.

We arrive on the shores near Citadel tomorrow and then travel the rest of the way to Topholme. When we reach Citadel I will have to be ready for my debt to be called in. I owe the Church of Throrn a unique service and I have no choice but to pay up. I only hope I can count on my companions to aid me in what way they can. But in this type of job I dont know how much my companions talent will be able to do. Throrn I hope you are watching when the time comes.
